Having issues connecting your X2 Wireless Surround Speakers?
We're here to help!
Issue: My X2 Wireless Surround speakers won't connect to each other, or only one speaker is playing.
This is a common issue with users and is very easy to remedy. The root of the issue is that users tried pairing the speakers to their device before establishing the Wireless Surround connection.
A common symptom of this issue is that two X2 speakers are listed in the device list in your device's bluetooth settings.
How to Solve:
Step 1: Go into your device's Bluetooth settings and forget/delete any X2 speakers that are currently paired to your device.
Step 2: Turn off Bluetooth on your device
Step 3: Turn on both X2 speakers and double press the power button on one of the two speakers. You will hear an echo followed by a high chime. The high chime confirms that the Wireless Surround connection has been established between the speakers. If you do not hear a high chime 10-15 seconds after hearing the echo, double press the power button and try again.
Step 4: Turn on Bluetooth on your device
Step 5: Select the single X2 speaker listed on your device list.
Both speakers should be playing music creating a Wireless Surround listening experience.
Issue: My X2 Wireless Surround speakers won't connect to my Apple MacBook
The root of the issue is that MacBooks have a much more restrictive software, but our speakers still work with apple laptops! The pairing process for Apple MacBooks is a bit different.
A common symptom of this issue is that when you try to connect your X2 Wireless Surround speaker after establishing the wireless surround connection, you get a "Failed to Connect" error.
How to Solve:
Step 1: Go into your MacBook's Bluetooth settings and forget/delete any X2 speakers that are currently paired.
Step 2: Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.
Step 3: Turn on 1 speaker and pair it to your MacBook. Play a song to ensure that the speaker connected properly.
Step 4: Turn off the speaker you paired to your MacBook. Do not turn off the Bluetooth function on your MacBoo
Step 5: Turn both X2 speakers on. The speaker you originally paired to your MacBook should automatically connect to your MacBook (this is normal). Play a song to ensure the Bluetooth connection has been established and let it play.
Step 6: Double press the power button on the speaker that is playing music. You will hear an echo followed by a high chime. The high chime confirms that the Wireless Surround connection has properly been established. If you do not hear a high chime after 10-15 seconds, double press the power button again.
Step 7: Enjoy! Both speakers should be playing at the same time, creating a Wireless Surround listening experience.
